Operation Wakecamp Zebu Dos

Confirmed. Wakeboarding is not as effortless, painless and temperate as it looks,
but is as exhilirating and electrifying.
Wakeboarding was a sport that I always would want to master.

Aside from the fact that it involves water, it's definitely fun and challenging.
So when TYN WAKE call the shots to bring OPERATION WAKE CAMP to Cebu for the 2nd time
around, I never hesitated and had myself listed pronto.

As the 'day' approaches, I can't help but get stoked on the idea.
Did some quick research on Philippine Wakeboarding and all.
Saw some cool stuff and flicks on wakeboarding.
I can't help but get more and more agitated on the idea of me riding on top of water.

Pero isip ko lang pala ang lumalaki.
(hydrocephalus much?!)

Filed for a 2day Vacay Leave but I was deliberately denied. No choice.
**sigh**

With so little sleep (excited much?!) and brain-drained the whole night,
the DAY busted in with a bang.

But that can't stop this restless callboy to get himself a taste of that wipe out.

With Cobra and sting in my hand, and an ounce of pachydermial attitude
(translation: kapalmoks ), I marched myself out to the event.
It was a sunny and positive morning.
ngiti dito. ngiti dyan...then suddenly...

pak!

si june biyatch at ako....over!

ang loob ko at mabilisan (as in like 2 seconds) kong sinuot ang shirt.
hoh!

Quickie discussion kung paano mag wakeboard.
Ang challenging daw nito kasi by boat at hindi by cable so kilangan kong
maging ala-captain barbel sa galing.
naisip ko, 'i got this in the bag' (oy, inglis?)

Bend your knees. Always.
Hold the handle close to your chest all the time. But let go once you fall into the water.
When you feel the tension from the boat, resist the force and hold the the handle close to you.
Put your weight on your heel. Keep about 3/4 of the board inclined and submerged in water.
Do not deliberately pull yourself up using the handle.
Allow the force from the boat to pull you up.
Once you pop up, slowly bring the handle to your right and
move the board to the position parallel to the board.
Enjoy the ride. Woot woot.

pabalik-balik. visualize. pabalik-balik.
parang sirang plakang paikot-ikot, paulit-ulit.
paulit-ulit.

READY.

MY TURN......

ambigat kasi ng tiyan kaya di makaahon. amp.

Mahirap? Yes.
Challenging? Yes.
Frustrating? Yes.
Exhilirating? Yes.
Fun? Yes. Yes. Yes. YES!!!

I may not have stood up during my tries but it made me realize that we need to keep trying.

The pros did not wake up one morning and did the breath-taking stunts.
They practiced...a lot.

The Wakeboarders and Wakeskaters make it look soooo easy.

Mas magiging madali sana pag mag cable park for wake boarding dito sa cebu, im sure magiging suki ako.

NOTE TO SELF: MAGPAPAYAT. MAGPALIIT NG TIYAN. MAG-GYM PARA MAKAAHON NXT TIME.

EXTREME NOTE TO SELF: LIPO.
