The Davao Hullabaloo Part 1

Davao
21-24.June.2011

With the stress and mayhem in the office, I needed a much-needed time off to chill out and get all the negative vibes off my spine. The leaves and trips were plotted way ahead of time so the countdown to the date was creating such a powerful whirl of excitement. Me and Riz is celebrating our 6th year together. And what better way to celebrate this by going on an out of town adventure. No itinerary, just listed places in Davao and soles itching for an adventure. Enough with the roundabouts, let's start the trip down..... STOP. ooooiiiiiii.. umi-english. parang travel blogger lang noh? back to normal programming. pak!

Day 1: Landing in Davao City
heylow durian! welcome to dabaw!
Sponsored ang trip nato ng AirPhil. Maraming salamat sa sponsorships. Sumakay kami ng erplin na sobrang excited sa mga planu namin sa mga darating na araw. ang planu is to experience the life in davao. we are not tourist kung baga, we are travellers. yung tipong, hindi magmamadaling pumunta sa mga lugar na parang sobrang gipit sa oras, pero yung type na iexperience talaga ang lugar. nagpatulong ako sa mga kaibigan ko sa davao para sa hotel na iistayhan namin. good to note na ang davao ay may maraming lugar na pwedeng matuluyan with a limited budget. umaambon nung nakalapag kami kaya erase muna ang planung mag night city tour. off to Cencia's para sa masaraps na hapunans. mmmm..yum! Nagstay lang kami sa hotel the whole night kasi umulan na. saktong-sakto na dala ko si lappy kaya nakapag-research kami kung saan pupunta the next day. Pagkatapos nun, movie marathon plus cuddle-cuddle over a rainy Davao City. ehehehe.. lights out.

Day 2: Experience Davao. Island Garden City of Samal Chillin'.
It is important to note that Davao City is a smoke-free, nature-friendly and crime-free city. Sabi nung cab driver on our way to the hotel na on a minimum talaga ang krimen sa syudad kasi disciplinado ang mga tao at siguradong tutugisin ka ng mga awtowridad pag bad ka. that statement alone put us at ease.

The next day, planu naming pumunta ng IGCoS kasi maganda ang reviews sa beaches do-own.. Andaming options at matapos ang 5 oras na pagdidiskusyown, nagpabook na din kami ng room overnight sa BlueJaz Resort dahil sa higanteng slide nila. Breakfast in bed c/o Jollibee Delivery, then off we go. Galing sa hotel eh pumunta muna kami sa San Pedro Cathedral para makapagbigay pugay kay Daddy Jess. We were blessed to have 6 years together and counting. Pagkatapos, tanung-tanong around nalang papuntang BlueJaz. And boy was it hard. Anlaki pala ng davao. The downtown area was too big and ang liit lang ng transition papuntang 'country side'. parang nahalo ang commercial and residential area so it was definitely not too good of an experience for me. Pero I was still so hyped up para mag relax at mag-chill kasama si labilab Riz. kaya, larga!

lalalalarga! papuntang bluejaz.

at totoo, anlaki-laki ng slide. sinubukan namin, woeh, parang naiwan ang kaluluwa't mga balakubak sa taas. we both tried both slides and boy was it fun. it was so exhilirating that you'd definitely have second thoughts going back for more round. but the fun and pumped-energy is soooo ecstatic that you'd by-pass the feeling and go anyway.

bluejaz giant slide. ho!

Infinity Pool. Syempre, may jumpshot.

at ang beacccchhhh...

PAUSE muna tayo sa estoryah. may incoming chat pa kasi...antabayanan nalang ang mga remaining parts ng bakasyown grande namin ni general sa durian capital, DAVAO CITY. ehehhehe :)
